I already ripped up the living room carpets before taking this photo. You can kind of see the color change.

After ripping up the carpet, this is what the old floor looked like. Not too bad. I'm pretty sure that's the original finish from 1958, when the house was built.

More of the old finish. There was some spots with lots of surface damage... probably from each time carpet was installed.

Old patch... there was once a wall where that line of boards is. When the home was built, there was no hardwood. The guy who patched it did a bit of a simple job.
