DEX - Dexamethasone

This is a steroid drug, similar to prednisone, that is used in the treatment of leukemia. It has some rather unpleasant effects on the patient, notably the mood swings it causes. The term "Roid Rage" is used to describe the anger that flashes from the patient. Dex is sometimes called "dirty dex" by the parents of children taking it, for its unpleasant side effects.
